For history lovers, step back in time and explore the nearby walled cities of Vannes and Guerande, or visit the chateaux and historic buildings of Josselin, Quimper, or Chateaubriant. If you want to go further back in time, spend a few hours at the Parc de Prehistoire at Malansac or marvel at the megaliths of Carnac.
Second World War buffs will enjoy the Breton Museum of Resistance at St. Marcel and if the children have had enough of history why not visit the Oceanium at Le Croisic or the Zoo at Branfere. There is something for everyone at the excellent Motor Museum at Loheac.
The nearest beaches are located at Penestin where there is a vast expanse of sand and safe bathing with fascinating rock pools to explore at low tide. Just 30 kms away, the sophisticated resort of La Baule has a Mediterranean feel and boasts a magnificent promenade and long sandy beach.
